Are You Ready for Regional Conference??

Are you a Spring 07 Initiate or neophyte?

Is this your first Conference?

Make the most of your Regional Conference experience and plan to be:

  1. Informed about the issues and candidates. Reference candidates’ websites, campaign literature and visit Candidate’s Corner.
  2. Prepared by bringing your Ritual, penlight, Constitution & Bylaws, Roberts Rules of Order, Sorority pin, Violet corsage, Protocol and Traditions Manual, membership card and photo ID (for registration).
  3. Prompt to Plenary sessions and workshops. Your chapter will be fined if the chapter seat is not occupied by the delegate or alternate delegate at any time during the Plenary sessions.
  4. Mindful of reserved seating for National and Regional committees, the presence of our Delta Dears and physically challenged sorors and offer assistance, if necessary.
  5. Orderly as Voting Delegates should address the Chair correctly:
    1. Raise the appropriate card.
    2. Wait to be recognized.
    3. Say “Madam Chair” or “Madam President.”
    4. State your name, Chapter and Region.
    5. Continue when the chair gives you permission.
  6. Quiet or set cell phones to vibrate/off position. Sorors are fined if cell phone is heard ringing during a Plenary session.
  7. Respectful by not taking pictures during ceremonies.
  8. Enlightened by the ability to network with other sorors regarding chapter programming.
  9. Official by wearing badge at all times.
  10. Dressed in proper attire
    1. Opening Plenary – White (No Pants)
    2. Ecumenical – White (requested)
    3. Memorial Service – Red, Black, or White (No Pants, Black preferred)
    4. Closing Banquet – Formal or After 5 attire (Black or Silver is requested)
    5. Plenary Sessions – Business attire (no denim or khaki)
    6. Social Action Luncheon - Red is requested
    7. Step Show – Delta shirts, paraphernalia
      1. NOTE:  You must have a jacket for sleeveless tops or dresses (except for the Closing Banquet). Your jacket should be a blazer or suit jacket, not a jacket that could be described as paraphernalia.
